Florida A&M baseball head coach Jamey Shouppe announced on Thursday afternoon a revision to the schedule with the addition of a weekend home series against Eastern Illinois.

The Rattlers will face the Panthers in a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at noon. They'll close the series on Sunday morning with an 11 a.m. first pitch.

2020年欧冠赛程表This change in the schedule is based on the cancellation of the Jackie Robinson Tournament in Jackson, Mississippi due to heavy rain and flooding in the area.

2020年欧冠赛程表FAMU was slated to play Alcorn State on Friday. The next games were against Jackson State on Saturday with a Sunday matinee versus Southern.

2020年欧冠赛程表"Mother Nature intervened and there's historic flooding out there," Shouppe said. "We scrambled all day (Thursday) to find games. Some fell through. With the help of my friend Jose' Vazquez, the head coach at Alabama State, we were able to play Eastern Illinois."

Vazquez served as a middle man to secure the series with Eastern Illinois. The Panthers were supposed to compete in a tournament. However, this event was also canceled. To make up for the loss of games, Eastern Illinois was going to play as an extra squad in a crowded field of teams in Montgomery.

From there, head coaches Shouppe, Vazquez and Eastern Illinois' Jason Alexander set up plans for the Panthers to travel to Tallahassee.
