One more person in Leon County who tested positive for coronavirus has died, according to the Florida Department of Health.

2020年欧冠赛程表The case was a 61-year-old man who previously had contact with a confirmed case. Leon County now has had four deaths related to COVID-19, the health department reports.

Officials released no other details about the death as is typical for the department.

2020年欧冠赛程表Outside Leon, Florida's least populous county saw a 52-case jump overnight, bringing the total number of cases in Liberty County to 60. The county only has a population of 8,354 residents, according to 2019 Census data. 

The new cases range from age 20 to 63.

Many of those cases likely are tied to Liberty Correctional Institution, in which 56 inmates have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Corrections.

The facility, located about 45 minutes west of Tallahassee, also had 2 staff members test positive. As of Saturday, 276 inmates were in medical quarantine, meaning they may have had close contact with someone who tested positive for the virus.

2020年欧冠赛程表Inmates who exhibit "symptoms indicative of COVID-19" will be placed in medical isolation and tested for the virus, the department says.

Liberty CI is third among the state's 61 prisons for the number of inmates testing positive. The all-male facility can house up to 1,330 inmates.

2020年欧冠赛程表As of Saturday, seven inmates have died due to COVID-19, the department reports. The department does not specify which institutions these inmates were from.

"The Florida Department of Health defines a COVID-19 related death as a person who has died following a positive COVID-19 test," the corrections department says.

Due to privacy concerns, the department does not release any identifying information about positive-testing staff or inmates.

Elsewhere in the Big Bend, Gadsden Correctional Facility has had seven inmates and 14 staffers test positive for COVID-19. Separately, 386 inmates have been placed in medical quarantine, the corrections department reports.
